On December 16, David J. Firestein joined a panel discussion on “Focus Talk” —a Mandarin Service current affairs program on Voice of America.  Firestein commented on the effects of President-elect Donald Trump’s potential cabinet appointments on U.S. domestic and foreign policy. Firestein also discussed Trump’s phone call with Taiwan's leader Tsai Ing-wen and recent comments about the One China policy, as well as prospects for U.S.-China relations under the incoming Trump administration.
