She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chinese from the Mandalay University of Foreign Languages. She obtained her first master's degree in international relations from Yunnan University in 2011, and her second master's degree in international studies and diplomacy from the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies in 2016.

Ms. Kyee has experience working with various international scholars, as well as civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and international NGOs since 2007. Her current research focus is on China-Myanmar relations, China’s Myanmar policy, and the One Belt One Road Initiative. Her research interests include foreign policy, public diplomacy, nation branding, non-traditional security issues, and the geopolitics of Myanmar.
