Agnes Venema was a program coordinator for the Parliamentarians Network for Conflict Prevention.
Prior to joining EWI, Agnes worked on Security Sector Reform at the United Nations Mission in Timor-Leste (UNMIT) and was United Nations program coordinator for an international human rights organization, focusing on minority rights and de-facto states.
Agnes holds an LL.M. (legal master) degree in Human Rights and Criminal Justice from the Irish Centre for Human Rights at NUI Galway and a Bachelor degree from University College Utrecht, where she opted for a semester abroad at the Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic.
Agnes is fluent in Dutch and has working knowledge of French and German. She also has basic knowledge of Spanish.
